We dreamed up and tried to create the perfect intersection of wine, nature and luxury: the SXRD Luxury Apartments★★★★★. Despite its modernism, the building blends harmoniously into the hillside planted with vines. In addition to its unique panoramic views, each apartment has a private wellness area and a premium wine list to ensure unforgettable experiences and relaxation.
We have had the pleasure of travelling around our country and around the world. We are a couple. We have travelled alone, with our children and with larger groups of friends. In each case, the journeys we have spent alone, relying on and listening to each other have deepened and built our relationship, our lives and our careers. We set our minds to creating a place where others could have the opportunity to have similar experiences and thus move their lives forward.
We wanted to create this place in our birthplace, Szekszárd, Tolna County, Hungary. We believe that everything that happens and develops in the city and in the wine region, on the "hill", as well as all the natural beauty and energy flow that is present, is meant to enrich everyone who spends a few days here with positive experiences and energy. Our plan is to create a speciality in the emerging palette that is unique in atmosphere, scale and quality - hopefully to the delight of many.

No staff, no local service and no daily cleaning. Unless you request it, you will not meet anyone during your stay. Both check-in and check-out are completely digital, with no need for a personal meeting. So you can disconnect with the peace of mind of complete discretion.
For your entertainment, we provide broadband internet connection, smart TV and a games corner.

Private marketplace inside the house for fresh breakfasts and lighter lunches and dinners. Breakfast is provided free of charge with healthy, fresh or occasionally frozen produce from local farmers and backyard producers as far as possible. For other meals, quick-prepared meals (e.g. pizza) are also available. Home delivery is also available, of course.
Our guests are served with a well-stocked wine cooler, stocked with the best wines of the area. The wines are available for an extra charge.
Electric bikes and off-road vehicles can be hired on request.
Our goal is to be together, listen to each other, relax, enjoy each other's company and the luxury that surrounds us. We don't leave the house much, we make breakfast for each other or together, sometimes on the terrace, admiring the view. Cold cuts, scrambled eggs, jam – that's enough for us. We skip lunch, just snacking and eating fruit, and have dinner delivered to the house.
We read, bathe, talk, cuddle, and sleep whenever we feel like it. We pamper each other with light and aromatherapy and observe the reactions. On the terrace, we enjoy the sunrise, the sunset, the storms, the migration of birds, the shooting stars, the satellites and the planes. At night, we listen to the sounds of nature or watch a movie.
We try the games offered by the place, taste and choose the best wines of the region.
Our aim is to be together and to be active. The accommodation has several recommended itineraries with shorter and longer hikes to lookouts, lakes, vineyards, horse farms and restaurants.
We enjoy the morning with contemplation, breakfast, and getting ready. At 10 a.m., we put on our hiking boots and set off on foot or by bike to the countryside, the city, or even the surrounding villages. We choose a place from the accommodation's preferences, have lunch, rest, maybe drink one or three glasses of wine and then hike back home. It's great to relax in the jacuzzi after a long day.
In the evening, we play games together, read, listen to music, and sleep well so we are fully rested for the next day.
Our goal is to discover the finest wineries in the wine region, many of which are located nearby, within a range of 500-2000 meters. Some of them may require a 10-kilometer hike, but well worth the effort. We will participate in wine tastings, and eat lunch or dinner.
More and more places are organizing cultural and entertainment events, with detailed information that can be found at the accommodation. We will strike up a conversation with local winegrowers, cellar owners, horsemen, and maybe they will invite us for some bread and butter, a little salami, or a glass of pálinka.
Some unforgettable experiences have already been made this way.
The above list can presumably be further developed, varied or even oriented according to completely different criteria. Fortunately, we are not all the same!
Based on our own experience, we began to reflect on what we enjoy doing together in special places. For longer stays, we can adjust and vary the activities above, but there are also corners of the world we return to year after year because we always find something new to discover in the surroundings, in each other, and within ourselves.
We sincerely hope that we too can become such a place.
Not only because of the pandemic, but we pay special attention to the observance of hygiene rules and thus to the preservation of the health of our guests. When cleaning the apartments, we work exclusively with 100% natural cleaning agents, thus avoiding the use of chemicals. In addition to regular and thorough cleaning, we contribute to safety with unmanned care.
The SXRD team pays special attention to protecting our environment. Our apartment building is powered by renewable energy sources using solar panels, and cleaning is done exclusively with 100% natural cleaning agents. Our wine cartons are fully recyclable. Our love for nature also inspired the rich selection of our hiking trails.
